Duryean GPC

From the First Race to the Next Revolution

It’s an honor to welcome you back after 130 years! First automobile race in America was held on 28 November 1895 on Thanksgiving Day, marking a pivotal moment in automotive history among six vehicles: where four gasoline-powered and two electric cars raced. Race outcome? Duryea Motorized Wagon claimed victory in the race as electric cars faced battery failure in the cold, among the three Benz cars, one collided with a horse, another strayed off course, and the final Benz crossed the finish line second, finishing an hour and a half later than Duryea.

This achievement not only became a turning point for the automotive industry but also made Duryea a synonym for progress and defeating all the odds. Are you ready for the real Grand Prize Challenge, Mercedes?

Fuel Your Imagination, Not Just Your Engine – Duryean GPC !

Duryean Grand Prize Challenge which is not a contest like the usual motorsports. Instead, it is the freedom to create something new and challenge the norms of conventional racing through technology without limitations posed by regulatory bodies.

Here, creativity and speed are to be taken to the greatest extent as there are no boundaries in terms of design and engineering. Being all-in on a 100% Grand Prize means we respect true competition and support the strongest candidate and nothing less.

If you have become bored with the traditional races where the so-called 'advanced' cars are loaded with wooden planks, then it is time to look into the future.

What Sets the Duryean GPC Apart ?

Here is everything that sets the Duryean GPC apart from all the other racing events.

The 100% Grand Prize

The Grand Prize distribution is an interesting one whereby other motorsport only pays out fifty percent of the Grand Prize to the racing teams while retaining the remainder for themselves. This setup has the feeling as though it is just an attempt to give some type of compensation for the work that is done by the teams. The Duryean GPC is presenting a 100% Grand Prize. That means every year 100% of the racing commercial rights profits are up for grabs. Why? Because this is not a Grand Prih Race; this is a Grand Prize Challenge, and therefore we’re not skimming a percentage off the top like others! Furthermore, the management of the races will be handled by our nonprofit company partners, ensuring that profits are reinvested into the community and promoting transparency and ethical practices.

No Engineering Limitations

This is the Duryean GPC where teams can use their imagination. They can run wild and come up with innovative designs and engineering solutions. We know that strict regulations leading to ugly slow cars. Unlike any FIA regulated races which is bound by numerous rules and regulations, Duryean GPC has no engine, suspension, aerodynamics, or any engineering limitations!

It's ironic that Former 1, a sport which is pushing the boundaries of technology “AS THEY SAY” still uses a wooden plank to measure weight loss. High-tech meets low-tech in a surprisingly literal way?

Inclusivity of Electric Vehicles

Duryean GPC does not hesitate to turn towards the future by integrating electric automobiles into the contest. We're honoring the Mother Nature by including electric cars into the racing world as well. “Automotive innovators raced with electric cars 130 years ago on Thanksgiving Day! Why can't we race with them now?”
